Job summary

North American Dental Group's Palm Bay practice is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant for a part-time, Friday-only position. A anesthesia training is required, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

This role supports surgeons, handles charting, and helps deliver best-in-class patient care. You will perform radiographs and cone beam scans, maintain sterile procedure areas, assist with sedation, monitor vitals, and provide post-operative instructions.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or state licensure.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Radiography/X-ray certification for the respective state.
• CPR Certification required.
• OSHA compliance with respirator procedures (N95) for aerosol-generating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures including prep and documentation.
• Provide chair-side clinical support including charting and operatory setup.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized surgical area.
• Take dental radiographs and cone beam 3D scans.
• Assist with sedation processes and patient preparation.
• Monitor patient vitals during surgery and during IV fluids.
• Sterilize equipment and prep areas per health regulations.
• Provide post-operative instructions and care tips.
• Assist with impression taking and diagnostic model pours.
