Job summary

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center in Roaring Spring, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. This PRN/part‑time OR role requires a minimum of 30 hours per month, with one weekend per month and two holidays per year, supporting a busy OR across general surgery, orthopedics and urology.

You will perform perioperative interventions, protect patients from infection and injury, document care accurately, and advocate for patients while safeguarding privacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN program with active PA license or MSL from compact states.
• BLS certification required; BTNC/ATCN/TNCC within 12 months of hire.
• Able to work irregular hours, including call hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct-site, correct-patient perioperative care and documentation.
• Maintain wound perfusion and stability during the perioperative period.
• Protect patient from infection and injury; manage fluids and vitals.
• Develop and follow perioperative care plans; monitor patient status in recovery.
• Assist with patient handoffs and effective communication across teams.
• Educate patient and family on perioperative expectations and care.

BLS Certification

BTNC/ATCN/TNCC within 1 year

PA license or Compact State

Education

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)

BSN preferred
