Job summary

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR to join a busy surgical team in Roaring Spring, PA. The position requires an RN license in Pennsylvania, BLS, and BTNC or equivalent within a year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a RN program and PA nursing license required.
• BLS certification required; BTNC or equivalent within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to work irregular hours including call hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct site, side, and level of procedures.
• Maintain wound perfusion and tissue perfusion toward baseline.
• Manage organ systems and balances per perioperative needs.
• Maintain normothermia postoperatively and protect against infection.
• Develop individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Protect patient from injury from devices and chemicals.
• Document care accurately and completely.
• Advocate for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide consistent care across settings.
• Communicate status during continuum of care.
• Administer medications safely and evaluate progress.
