Job summary

Charm City Therapy in Baltimore, MD is seeking a passionate School-Based Physical Therapist for a role that can be part-time or full-time. You will deliver direct PT services to students in a school setting and help students achieve their functional goals.

You will collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support IEP goals, document progress, and ensure compliance with district requirements while promoting student well-being and independence.

Qualifications

• Maryland PT license or eligibility for licensure.
• Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students in a school-based setting.
• Evaluate and assess students' physical needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support IEP goals.
• Document student progress and maintain therapy records per school/state requirements.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff on PT strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students in a school-based setting
• Evaluate and assess students' physical needs to develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student IEP goals
• Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records in compliance with school and state requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed
• Provide consultation and training to school staff on physical therapy strategies and student needs

Requirements:

• Valid Maryland Physical Therapist (PT) license or ability to obtain licensure
• Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and special education processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and student-focused approach to care
