Job summary

Aria Care Partners seeks a part-time ophthalmic technician to support clinics across Cedar Rapids and the surrounding 3-hour radius, traveling between sites as needed.

You will arrive before the doctor to set up, transport patients, assist with vision pretesting, work with eyeglasses and scribing in the EMR, and help escort elderly clients. Mileage reimbursement, paid drive time, and occasional work-from-home opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to drive within a 3-hour radius to clinics.
• Optometry/Ophthalmic technician experience preferred but not mandatory.
• EMR documentation experience preferred (1+ years).
• Ability to transcribe basic medical notes into computer.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the clinic before the doctor to setup.
• Transport patients to and from the exam area.
• Assist the doctor with vision pretesting, working with eyeglasses and scribing as needed.
