Job summary

Aria Care Partners seeks a part-time vision support technician to assist clinicians at multiple facilities. You arrive before the doctor to set up, transport patients, and help keep the visit running smoothly.

You may drive within a 3-hour radius with lodging and meals provided for longer trips; mileage reimbursement and paid drive time are included. EMR experience and basic transcription are preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive to clinics typically within a 3-hour radius; reliable transportation.
• Optometry/Ophthalmic technician experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior EMR documentation experience strongly preferred (medications, ICD-10, preliminary findings).
• Ability to transcribe basic medical notes into computer. Training on software provided.
• Ability to escort elderly walking clients or transport clients in wheelchairs (up to 200 lbs).

The Position

• Arrive at the clinic before the doctor to setup at the facility.
• Transport patients to and from the exam area at the facility.
• Assist the doctor with vision pretesting, working with eyeglasses and scribing as needed.

Location

This position covers their home market which includes driving up to a 3-hour radius. For locations greater than 2.5 hours, the company offers overnight lodging and meals. Mileage reimbursement is included, as well as paid time for all driving that exceeds normal commute time.

This is a part-time role, working every Monday & every other Tuesday.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive to clinics that are typically within a 3-hour radius. Must have reliable transportation.
