Job summary

Eyemart Express in Reynoldsburg, OH is seeking a Front Desk Optometrist’s Technician (PT) to support the store Doctor. You will greet patients, assist with the pre-test, help select frames and lenses, and handle the delivery of exam services and contact lenses while maintaining Eyemart’s standards.

As a part‑time Front Desk Tech, you’ll process payments, answer phones, enter data, and manage patient files in a HIPAA‑compliant workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in retail, customer service or sales.
• Experience in optical industry is preferred but not required; training available.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions and policies on payment, returns, and exchanges.
• Process payment transactions/refunds using the in-house POS system.
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Process insurance claims efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products.
• Create and maintain patient files following HIPAA policies.
• Input patient information into the computer system.
• Perform pre-test procedures as directed by the Doctor.
• Order and receive contact lenses and coordinate pick-up and production delays.
