Responsibilities include diagnosing conditions, prescribing lenses, maintaining HIPAA-compliant records in our EHR, and supporting sales of optical products while delivering exceptional patient service in a warm environment.

Qualifications

• OD degree with active CA licensure required.
• Experience with dry eye management preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and EHR documentation.
• Interest in myopia management and scleral lenses a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams with patient education.
• Diagnose and treat common eye conditions such as dry eye disease, red eye emergencies, cataracts, and refractive errors.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with the managing doctor, opticians, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and communication.
• Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and preventive measures while serving with excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using our EHR system in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in sales of optical products when appropriate, providing professional recommendations.
• Stay current with medical terminology updates, anatomy knowledge, and physiology to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
