Baker Optometry was started in 2019 by a dedicated team who had worked together for many years at a prior location. Since then, it has grown steadily with three more optometrists, additional opticians and administrative assistants. As Baker Optometry continues to attract more patients we are in need of another professional, caring optometrist in 2026.
We are a general practice optometry office in a university town. Our patients span all ages including children, families, college students, working professionals, and retirees. We have established a strong referral network with nearby specialists for all patient needs including retina, cornea, oculoplastics, cataract surgeons, glaucoma surgeons, etc.
Davis is a great place to live, work, raise a family, and even retire. Winters are mild. Fall and spring are beautiful. Summers can be hot but the evenings cool off from the Delta breeze. Summer mornings are great for a walk, jog, or bike ride along the many greenbelts and trails. The Mondavi Center at UC Davis has great performances year-round. Sacramento is very close for an extra variety of restaurants and entertainment. You can easily take day and weekend trips to Napa, Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Lassen, Lake Tahoe, Reno, Yosemite, and more.
For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment.
