Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Denver, CO is seeking a part-time Optometrist to deliver preventive and restorative eye care, diagnose vision-related issues, and instruct staff on patient treatment. Position is 1-2 days per week, plus Saturdays or PRN, with pay range $500-$650 per day.

Responsibilities include comprehensive eye care, treatment planning, referrals when needed, and maintaining up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications

• Valid state optometry license in good standing.
• Strong interest in working with children.
• Ability to acquire Medicaid Provider number and NPI number.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle a diverse workload.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks on time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and service by responding promptly to patient, caregiver, and team needs
• Examine patients, diagnose diseases, and effectively treat and perform all necessary procedures
• Provide comprehensive professional vision treatment plans to help them achieve optimal vision health, using accepted clinical and diagnostic techniques
• Build a community within the practice that fosters teammate satisfaction and retention by developing strategies to achieve organizational goals, being available to staff, accepting feedback from others, developing subordinates’ skills, and encouraging growth
• Arrange for referral to vision specialists when appropriate
• Prepare a doctor case file including medical history, informing patients on general care and health of eyes at regular time intervals, and staying informed on the latest vision treatment techniques
