Job summary

Target Optical is seeking a part-time Optician to drive sales and deliver exceptional guest service in a retail optics setting. You will fill prescriptions, fit lenses and frames, and ensure quality fabrication while building customer relationships.

Qualified candidates have ABO certification, 2+ years in retail optical, strong communication skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree is a plus, with basic computer familiarity for POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Drives profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture.
• Develops professional relationships with team members.
• Fills ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions, fits and adapts lenses and frames.
• Ensures high quality/timely product manufacturing/fabrication.
• Analyzes and interprets prescriptions and lens design.
• Measures pupillary distances, bifocal, trifocal and progressive placement.
• Selects and measures frame for facial contour, eye size and bridge size.
• Fits and adjusts eyewear to the face and eyes.
• Dispense quality products.
