Responsibilities:

• Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Support store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery tasks.
• When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and communicate related store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Support promotional displays and seasonal areas for sales effectiveness.
• Coordinate signage and merchandising efforts.
• Handle damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
• Ensure coolers and displays are refilled daily.

Minimum Requirements:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
