The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Tennessee Health Sciences College of Dentistry seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to provide clinical instruction and patient care within the predoctoral and graduate educational programs at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences College of Dentistry.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree required and completion of an ADA-accredited OMFS residency.
• Diplomate of the ABOMS or board-eligible with certification within institutional timeframe.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; eligible for Tennessee licensure and hospital credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical supervision of D3 and D4 students in OMFS clinic.
• Teach dentoalveolar surgery, diagnosis, treatment planning, anesthesia, infections, exodontia, and complications.
• Evaluate student competency with formative and summative assessments.
• Supervise OMFS residents (PGY-1 to PGY-4) in clinic and didactic activities.
• Provide comprehensive outpatient OMFS care and supervise safety and quality.
