Job summary

The Cigna Group, via Evernorth Workplace Care, is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner in Kissimmee, FL to deliver proactive, personalized primary care in a workplace setting. You will perform episodic care, manage chronic conditions, and collaborate with onsite HR and health teams to support employee wellness through coaching and screenings.

Responsibilities include overseeing CLIA-waived tests, Rx dispensing, and potential immunizations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certified NP program.
• Active and unrestricted NP license in the relevant state.
• Minimum 2+ years NP experience in internal medicine or family practice.
• Ability to practice independently in the state.
• DEA licensure and prescriptive authority.
• Strong primary care experience including women’s health.
• Chronic disease management experience preferred.
• Electronic Health Record experience; EPIC experience is a plus.
• BLS certification and ability to maintain current certification.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Autonomous APRN license preferred.

• Support Travel Medicine and immunizations if trained.
• Conduct one-on-one health coaching and refer to wellness programs.
• Partner with HR/Benefits to improve employee health.
• Collaborate with health care team (MA, LPN, etc.).

Nurse Practitioner - Part time - Evernorth - Kissimmee, FL

Position Summary

• Provide Primary Care treatment in a Workplace-based setting
• Episodic care (low acuity Urgent Care)
• Extended Episodic Acute Care which can include 4-5 visits for an illness or injury that is limited in its chronicity
• Chronic condition education and co-management with outside primary care if EWC is not the PCP
• Ability to oversee and perform CLIA waived tests, dispense Rx medications, and oversee a specimen collection lab
• Collaboration with onsite employees to provide biometric screening and health and wellness education
• Potential for Travel Medicine recommendation and immunizations or administration of allergen immunotherapy (with proper training)
• Direct one on one health coaching to employees along with referring patients into wellness programs
• Partner with local HR/Benefits team to improve employee health
• Partner closely with, and potentially oversee, members of the health care team (MA, LPN, etc.)

Clinical Requirements

• Graduate of Certified NP program
• Active and unrestricted NP license required in respective state, and ability to maintain
• Minimum of 2 or more years of NP experience, working independently in an internal medicine or family practice setting
• Ability to practice independently in respective state
• May be asked to obtain licensure in additional states
• DEA licensure and prescriptive authority and ability to maintain
• Strong primary care experience including women’s health
• Chronic Disease Management experience is preferred
• Electronic Health Record experience; EPIC experience is a plus
• BLS certification and ability to maintain current certification
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus

Non-Clinical Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills including internal and external customers and group settings
• Passionate about overall health and wellness and patient education
• High energy and strong customer-centric focus
• Ability to work clinic hours
• Solid attendance record

• Additional language skills such as Spanish is a plus
• Supervisory experience (indirect or direct) is preferred

This is a part time - 25.5 hour/week position, with potential for additional hours for coverage as needed.

Shift Schedule

• Wednesday 7am-12pm
• Thursday 7am-5:30pm
• Friday 7am-5:30pm.
