Job summary

Hospital Referral Services at Ohio Health Doctor's Hospital seeks an Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative. This part-time role involves screening uninsured patients in the Emergency Department, interviewing bedside, and determining eligibility for Medicaid and charity programs.

You will complete applications, work primarily on weekends with a focus on accuracy, patient privacy, and meeting monthly production goals, while supporting staff with a compassionate, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to multitask and type minimum 40 WPM
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Good attendance and dependability are essential.
• Successful completion of drug and background test is required.
• Annual Flu shots and TB testing is required

Responsibilities

• Review the hospital work queue to identify uninsured patients admitted.
• Screen/interview bedside in hospital setting to determine eligibility for Medicaid and charities.
• High volume of walking and standing (70% - 80% of shift).
• Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, hospital staff, and patients.
• Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient privacy.
• Meet production goals and objectives as assigned by hospital and management monthly.
• Maintain confidentiality of account information at all times.

Part Time Position - $17.50 an hour!

Hours: Saturday and Sunday ONLY from 2:00pm to 10:30pm

The Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative will be responsible for:

• Review the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients that are admitted to the Emergency Room.
