Job summary

Brightmont Academy is seeking a part-time instructor in Redmond, WA to deliver one-to-one instruction across grades 1–12. You will tailor lessons, avoid extensive lesson planning, and enjoy a flexible schedule with opportunities for professional development.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, empathy for diverse learners, and proficiency with G-Suite and LMS. Background checks and fingerprints are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in your subject area such as English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or related field
• Patience and empathy; able to support diverse learning needs
• Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge
• Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA) and pass a federal background check

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one, tailoring lessons to individual needs and learning styles
• Guide students toward mastery using a gradual release approach
• Focus on instruction without requiring extra grading or parent conferences
