Job summary

Brightmont Academy seeks a Part Time English & Social Studies Teacher to deliver personalized one-to-one instruction. The role focuses on engaging a single student at a time, with a flexible schedule and approximately 20 hours per week.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in the subject area, patience, and proficiency with G-Suite and LMS. Background checks are required; Orton Gillingham training and teaching certifications are bonus qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics)
• Patience & empathy: you understand different learning paces and support students
• A heart for teaching and passion to share your subject with the next generation
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA) and pass a federal background check

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one, tailoring lessons to their needs and learning styles
• Guide students to mastery with a gradual release approach that builds confidence
• No lesson planning or outside work required; focus on student engagement and instruction
