Job summary

Los Angeles Cancer Network is seeking a compassionate Oncology RN in Torrance, CA for a part-time role. You will provide direct nursing care to oncology patients, mix and administer chemotherapy under physician supervision, and educate patients and families throughout treatment.

The ideal candidate holds an active CA RN license with port-a-cath/PICC proficiency, CPR/BLS, and oncology experience. The schedule is Monday–Thursday mornings; the practice emphasizes safety, compassion, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required or within 30 days.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong IV skills with port-a-caths and PICC lines.
• Oncology/hematology experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in ambulatory infusion setting.
• Mix and administer chemotherapy and related meds under physician supervision.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patients during treatment.
• Follow required medication administration, verification, allergy-check, and safety procedures.
• Educate patients and families on chemotherapy, side effects and expectations.
• Schedule chemotherapy and related procedures in the EMR.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and continuing education.
• Assist the Charge Nurse with daily clinical operations.
