Job summary

Intermountain Health Cancer Center at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a part-time, 32-hour schedule with four 8-hour shifts on a rotating Monday–Friday basis.

The role focuses on comprehensive medication management, sterile compounding in an oncology setting, review of complex treatment plans, and support for safe, effective therapies. The position offers patient-centered care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
Current knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

Verifies and oversees preparation of hazardous and nonhazardous compounded sterile preparations.
Reviews oncology and supportive-care treatment plans in Epic Beacon, including dosing and parameters.
Uses Epic Beacon and pharmacy tech tools to document clinical review and verify orders.
Oversees timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas and ensures proper storage.
Provides patient counseling and promotes medication education and adherence.
Completes regulatory training and remains compliant with laws and SOPs.
Supervises interns, technicians, and support staff as required.
Identifies improvement areas to streamline processes and enhance patient safety.
Supports pharmacy leadership initiatives and organizational directives.
