Job summary

Worcester Polytechnic Institute - WPI in Worcester is seeking a Temporary Writing Center Tutor to support graduate students in developing their writing skills. The role is on-site, part-time, 5–10 hours per week, paying $22 per hour.

You will provide constructive feedback on structure, argumentation, and clarity, and help students refine their work. Responsibilities include holding consultations individually or in small groups, attending monthly staff meetings, and assisting with campus

Qualifications

• Candidates must demonstrate strong writing ability and listening skills.
• Familiarity with academic genres in both the humanities and the sciences is preferred.
• Applicants must have a graduate degree or be currently enrolled in a graduate program to qualify.

Responsibilities

• Holding consultations with students (individuals and small groups).
