Job summary

Volo Sports is seeking a Daily Play Commissioner in Washington, DC to lead on-site operations for multiple pickup games across sports. This part-time role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a passion for community through sport.

You’ll oversee shifts, ensure safety and engagement, train staff, and work 15–20 hours weekly including evening and weekend duties. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience with an emphasis on training and staff development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Dynamic personality and ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to marshal resources in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong on-site leadership and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pickup during assigned shifts to ensure a safe, organized, welcoming environment.
• Train and mentor part-time staff on operations and safety.
• Communicate shift logs and incidents clearly to management.
• Promote Volo Pass programs to increase membership.
• Enforce facility rules and ensure great player experience.
