Job summary

Decena Home Care, LLC in Northern Virginia is seeking a part-time, on-site Caregiver to support clients at home. Responsibilities include homemaker duties, private duty care, companionship, travel support, and 24-hour/overnight care with an emphasis on safety and dignity.

The role requires 2+ years of caregiving experience, valid U.S. work authorization, and certifications in CNA/PCA/HHA and CPR/First Aid. A reliable driver with flexible hours is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or a related field (at least 2 years).
• U.S. work authorization.
• Ability to provide personal care including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Experience with medication reminders and monitoring vital signs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Reliability and punctuality; flexible hours preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• CNA/PCA/HHA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Homemaker tasks: grocery shopping, errands, light housekeeping, cooking, meal preparation, laundry.
• Private duty care: reminders for medications, bathing and oral hygiene, toileting assistance.
• Companionship: conversation, reading, games, walks, safety supervision.
• Travel companion: accompany clients during trips with safety supervision.
• 24 Hour / Overnight care: morning/evening routines and tuck-in before bed.
• Palliative care: pain management, symptom management, emotional support.
