Job summary

Decena Home Care, LLC in Northern Virginia is seeking a part-time on-site caregiver. You will provide homemaker tasks, private duty care, companionship, travel assistance, and 24-hour/overnight care to help clients live safely and comfortably at home.

The role requires at least two years of caregiving experience, a valid driver’s license, US work authorization (no visa sponsorship), and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of caregiving or related experience.
• US work authorization (no visa sponsorship).
• Ability to provide personal care including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Experience with medication reminders and monitoring vital signs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible hours.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• CNA/PCA/HHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Homemaker tasks: grocery shopping, errands, light housekeeping, cooking, meal prep, laundry and ironing.
• Private duty care: reminders, bathing, grooming, toileting including incontinence care.
• Companionship: conversations, reading, games, walks, safety supervision.
• Travel companion: drive and assist clients during trips with safety supervision.
• 24 Hour / Overnight care: assist with morning/evening routines and tuck-in.
• Palliative care: pain and symptom management, emotional support.
