Job summary

The Arbor at Berkeley is seeking skilled and compassionate Caregivers to serve our residents in Berkeley, California. Currently, part-time and on-call opportunities for a Med Tech are available on every shift, with a wage of $21.00-22.00/hour and full-time benefits.

The Caregiver supports residents with personal care, daily routines, mobility, dining assistance, observation, and overall comfort, while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment and communicating changes in resident condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior caregiving experience in senior living or healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care).
• Support mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation.
• Assist during meals and provide after-meal support.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to nursing/ supervisor.
• Maintain accurate care-related records and documentation as assigned.
• Prepare rooms for new residents and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, resident rights, and abuse reporting policies.
• Collaborate with caregivers and other departments to deliver quality resident care.
