The Arbor at Berkeley is seeking a part-time, on-call caregiver to support residents with personal care, daily routines, mobility, and dining assistance. The role emphasizes safety, compassionate service, and teamwork with nursing and leadership to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in senior care or healthcare preferred.
• Ability to follow direction and community procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care, and hygiene
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation throughout the community
• Support residents during meals, including set‑up, encouragement, and after‑meal assistance
• Observe residents closely and promptly report changes in condition to the nurse or supervisor
• Answer call lights and check on residents regularly to ensure needs are met
• Maintain accurate documentation and care‑related records as assigned
• Help prepare rooms for new residents and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Support a clean, calm, respectful, and positive living environment
• Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, resident rights policies
• Work collaboratively with coworkers and other departments to provide excellent resident care
