Job summary

Wickenburg Unified School District is seeking a Part Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students with disabilities in daily activities and access to the general curriculum. The position is ~20 hours per week with an immediate start in Wickenburg, AZ.

The OTA will work with the OT to screen, assess, implement IEPs, participate in meetings, and provide direct services while maintaining equipment inventory and collaborating with teachers and families.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Two years occupational therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Occupational Therapist in addressing the functional and academic needs of students.
• Implements and monitors IEPs for all students eligible for occupational therapy services.
• Participates in IEP meetings as appropriate.
• Provides direct services to students as indicated on IEPs.
• Maintains inventory of therapeutic equipment and materials.
• Communicates effectively with teachers, students and parents.
