Job summary

Umanist Staffing LLC seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team in Chicago, IL. The OT will assess patients in residential programs, develop individualized treatment plans, and work with an interdisciplinary team to promote independence and safety.

This part-time role requires IL licensure, BLS, excellent communication, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work for a U.S. employer.
• Illinois license or eligibility for Illinois licensure (OT).
• OT program accredited according to AOTA/ACOTE standards.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients in short- and long-term residential programs.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide therapy interventions designed to promote healing, restore or maintain function, and adapt to impairments.
• Assess home environments to support safe community reintegration.
• Educate and train patients and caregivers in skills and functions to promote independence and productivity.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate with the rehabilitation team.
