Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited OT program.
• Certification by the NBCOT is required.
• Licensure in the state(s) practiced; BLS certification.
• Keeps current knowledge of occupational therapy best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the scope of license, certification or registration.
• Evaluate patient condition and collaborate with treatment team to set goals.
• Establish written treatment plans and administer occupational therapy.
• Re-evaluate patient status and adjust treatment goals with patient and family as needed.
• Educate patients and families on therapy procedures and equipment use.
• Participates in discharge planning and communicates with interdisciplinary team.
• Documents patient progress and maintains compliance with reimbursement guidelines.
• Attends meetings and contributes to program development and quality improvement.
