Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, Colorado, is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to screen, evaluate, diagnose and treat injuries, diseases, and disabilities using standard OT practices. You will consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers and collaborate with care teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in states where you work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current driver’s license, reliable transportation.
• Experience with target population of job setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services, evaluations and treatments following professional standards (AOTA).
• Develops care plans with goals based on patient assessments.
• Meets productivity standards for the department or service line.
• Documents patient records timely and completes billing.
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians and healthcare providers about patient needs and goals.
• Supervises assistants, aides, staff and students to ensure high-quality care.
• Participates in continuing education opportunities for self and staff.
• Engages in quality improvement processes and utilization reviews.
• Participates in meetings and professional work groups.
• Contributes to program development and marketing strategies for growth of the OT program.
