Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) in Idaho invites a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Obstetrician to join a 5-physician OB hospitalist team. This part-time/PRN role supports 24/7 maternal care in a high-volume center with a level III NICU, strong safety culture, and a military-friendly environment.

The position offers no on-call, no office or GYN duties, with 0.5 FTE shifts; expect collaborative practice, multidisciplinary rounds, and opportunities to mentor CNMs and Family Medicine physicians

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board eligibility/certification in OB/GYN.
• Idaho medical licensure and privileges at SARMC - Boise.
• ABOG or ABOG eligible with certification within 3 years of employment.
• Strong leadership, protocol adherence, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage antepartum service and act as MFM extender.
• Triage arriving pregnant patients and respond to emergencies.
• Provide consultation for CNMs and Family Medicine physicians; surgical backup for OB/GYN.
• Manage labor and deliveries when providers are unavailable; no on-call, office, or GYN duties.
