Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) in Nampa, Idaho, seeks a full-time (or part-time) board-certified or -eligible OB‑GYN to join a multispecialty, mission‑oriented team serving a significantly underserved community.

The practice sits on the SAMC‑Nampa campus with a 20-bed LDR unit, access to Da Vinci X robot, and robust hospital support; schedule includes a traditional workweek plus call, with evenings and weekend obligations.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• ABOG/AOBOG board certification or eligibility, or obtain within 3 years.
• Completed ACGME or AOA obstetrics/gynecology residency.
• Idaho and Oregon medical licensure with privileges at SAMC‑Nampa and affiliated hospitals.
• Valid DEA registration and controlled substance registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide OB‑GYN care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Traditional workweek with call and hospital responsibilities.
• Minimum 32 patient contact hours per week plus rounding and call.

Job description

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a full-time (or part-time), board certified or board eligible obstetrician/gynecologist (OB‑GYN) committed to a multi‑disciplinary team approach to patient care in a significantly underserved community. This is a perfect opportunity for an OB‑GYN seeking a more rural style of practice with the support of a large health system and a well‑organized multispecialty group practice. The schedule for this position is a traditional workweek plus call and hospital responsibilities, including evenings and weekends. Minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week plus rounding and call. The call requirement is1/6 shared equitably with other employed OB/GYNs.

The clinic and the Birkeland Maternity Center (a 20-bed LDR unit with a spa‑like feel and atmosphere) are both located on the campus of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa, a 100‑bed community hospital built in 2017, supported by a strong network of primary care clinics and specialty care providers. Due to the rapid growth in the area, Saint Alphonsus Nampa is currently in the process of a large expansion, which will double the size of the existing hospital by fall 2028.

Support: Maternal-Fetal-Medicine; OB Hospitalist support; Gynecologic Oncologist ; 4 bed Level II NICU; Da Vinci X robot onsite; 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia; ED; SAMG network of 74 Primary & Specialty Care clinics; larger system resources including Boise OB/GYN practice

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited obstetrics & gynecology residency program.
• Board certification through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG) - or obtain certification within 3 years of employment.
• Obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC- Nampa and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
