Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Obstetrician to join an established OB hospitalist group of five physicians. The role supports maternal-fetal medicine and provides full 24/7 maternity care within a Level III NICU and a high-volume center.

Responsibilities include managing antepartum service, triaging obstetric admissions, responding to emergencies, and backing up for OB/GYNs.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• ACGME/AOA OB/GYN residency certification or within 3 years of employment.
• Idaho medical licensure and privileges at SARMC Boise.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, protocol adherence, and OB sonography skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage antepartum service and serve as MFM extender.
• Triage arriving pregnant patients.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies including obstetric trauma.
• Provide consultation for CNMs and Family Medicine; surgical assist and back-up for OB/GYNs.
• Manage labor and deliveries for patients without an assigned provider; no on-call, office, or GYN duties.
