Job summary

BMC is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a part-time role in Boston. The incumbent will generate diagnostic sonographic images, assist with invasive procedures, and ensure compliance with infection control and safety policies across campuses.

The role requires ARDMS certification and an associate degree in diagnostic sonography, with a focus on quality patient care and collaboration with radiologists and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in diagnostic medical sonography must be obtained prior to hire.
• ARDMS certification (OB/AB or RVT) required before hire.
• Experience in related clinical area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of ultrasound exams as required for departmental workflow.
• Assists physicians during sterile invasive procedures (biopsies, aspirations, thoracenteses, intraoperative).
• Prepares exam rooms and ultrasound equipment per infection control and safety policies.
• Maintains patient comfort, safety, and quality scans for radiology and other departments.
• Maintains equipment and documentation; follows hospital policies and procedures.
