Role Description

The Part-Time OB/GYN Sonographer will perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations, including first, second, and third trimester scans, fetal growth assessments, and gynecologic imaging. This team member will prepare patients for exams, explain procedures clearly, operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images for physician review. Responsibilities include documenting findings accurately, following clinic protocols, collaborating with OB/GYN providers and nursing staff, and supporting a calm, respectful patient experience. The role involves adhering to safety and infection-control standards, assisting with workflow in the imaging area, and participating in quality improvement activities as needed. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Bentonville, AR.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in Medicine with an emphasis on women’s health and prenatal care, and the ability to apply clinical guidelines in an OB/GYN setting.


• Understanding of Gynecology and Obstetrics to accurately perform and interpret OB/GYN ultrasound studies and communicate findings to providers.


• Familiarity with Gynecologic Surgery and Surgery workflows to support pre- and post-operative imaging needs and coordinate effectively with surgical teams.


• Graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program, preferably with concentration in OB/GYN or abdomen.


• Current ARDMS certification (or eligibility) in OB/GYN or relevant specialty and compliance with continuing education requirements.


• Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and electronic health records, with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and gender-neutral patient care.


• Ability to work on-site, Fridays with the possibility for more hours, in Bentonville, AR, maintain patient confidentiality, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
