Job summary

Heritage Early Learning Center is seeking a dependable and energetic Daycare Float to join our Barnesville, OH location. The role supports teachers across classrooms in a Christian childcare setting, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children of all ages.

The Float Teacher assists in daily routines, maintains documentation, and supports with nap times, feeding, diapering, and emotional regulation. This on-site position requires enthusiasm, adaptability, and a passion for nurturing

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Wollows to follow state and center safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, loving, and welcoming environment for children
• Assist classrooms with daily routines, supervision, and transitions
• Provide attentive and individualized care to children of varying ages
• Feed children safely and according to parent instructions
• Change diapers and assist with toileting needs following DCY guidelines
• Comfort children and assist with emotional regulation and self-soothing
• Help children during nap and rest times
• Use the Brightwheel App to document meals, naps, diapering, activities, and daily updates
• Upload daily photo or video for families
• Report injuries or concerns to Administration and complete required documentation
• Assist Lead Teachers with classroom activities and lesson plans
• Encourage learning through play, creativity, and sensory experiences
• Support positive behaviors through redirection and encouragement
• Foster children’s confidence, communication, and social-emotional development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
• Follow all DCY rules, center policies, and safety procedures
• Maintain required state training hours
• Participate in trainings including First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse Recognition & Prevention
• Participate in emergency drills and staff meetings
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Assist with maintaining classroom records and documentation

Heritage Early Learning Centeris currently seeking a dependable and energetic Daycare Float to join our team at our Barnesville, OH location. This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, nurturing, and passionate about working with children of all ages in a Christian childcare environment.

As a Float Teacher, you will assist in various classrooms throughout the center, helping maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment while supporting teachers and children during daily routines and activities.
