Job summary

REAL Services, Inc. in Michigan City, IN is seeking a part-time Nutrition Site Director to manage daily operations of a congregate meal site. You will supervise volunteers, ensure safe meal service, track counts, and maintain compliance with health regulations and program standards.

You will coordinate site programming, recruit and train volunteers, handle records and deposits, and act as a community resource promoting dignity, independence, and healthy aging among participants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Arrives on time and works scheduled hours consistently.
• Opens and closes the site, keeping the facility clean and orderly.
• Maintains a safe, sanitary work environment and complies with health regulations.
• Oversees meal service, including safe food handling and portion control.
• Tracks and reports daily meal counts, attendance, volunteer hours, and required forms.
• Manages cash handling, receipts, and deposits; submits reports on schedule.
• Coordinates site programming and trains volunteers.
• Other duties as assigned.
