Job summary

Sioux Center Health is seeking a Nutrition & Food Service Assistant to provide quality meals through snack and meal preparation, service and cleanup in a hospital setting.

The role is part-time (20 hours/week) with rotating weekends and holiday involvement. The position requires a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance, reflecting its responsibilities within a hospital food service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or serving meals preferred.
• Ability to prepare, assemble, and serve meals and snacks to customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish room and serving areas, including preparation of all foods and replenishing hot and cold foods.
• Record temperatures of hot foods, refrigerators and freezers; assist with QA records as required by law.
• Clean and store cafeteria items, including dishes and utensils.
• Assist with catering functions: assembly, set-up, delivery and retrieval of items.
• Manage cafeteria inventory including restocking and pricing.
