Job summary

Rasmussen University is seeking dynamic Part-Time Adjunct Nursing instructors to teach within the Nursing program at our Mokena/Tinley Park campus. You will teach lecture, lab, and clinical practicum courses, on campus or at off-site locations, and engage students with effective teaching methods and synchronous sessions.

No prior teaching experience is required; we provide training and support for new instructors.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• 1-year clinical experience as an RN required, 2+ years preferred
• Proof of active RN licensure that has never been encumbered
• Official transcripts required for each degree earned from an accredited institution
• Active CPR certification administered by either the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross, applicable faculty immunization documentation required

Responsibilities

• Teach lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned, on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations.
• Use effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques; foster a learning environment for a diverse student population.
• Create high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student-centered learning including live classroom tools for synchronous sessions.
