Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking adjunct nursing faculty in Indiana to provide instruction and assessment within established syllabi. The role emphasizes active classroom teaching strategies, professional engagement with students, and adherence to FERPA and college policies.

Selected candidates must have RN licensure, RN experience, and a path toward appropriate nursing degrees. This position supports ASN/PN programs and benefits from the college’s comprehensive employee programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current, unencumbered Indiana RN license.
• Majority of faculty shall hold master’s degrees in nursing.
• Faculty with Bachelor’s degrees in nursing must meet ALL of the following requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact learning and positive Ivy Tech experiences.
• Interacts with students and co-workers professionally and adheres to college policies and FERPA.
