Job summary

Unitek EMT is seeking a part-time/Vocational Nursing Instructor to join our team in California. The role involves evenings and/or weekend clinical support, visiting clinical sites, and employing innovative teaching methods to enhance nursing education.

Responsibilities include syllabus review, timely submission of reports, maintaining student records, and ensuring up-to-date clinical requirements. Prior teaching and nursing licensure are required; immunizations and BLS/ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach.
• Board of Nursing requirements: 3 years bedside RN/BSN or 6 years bedside LVN/Associates Degree.
• Preferred: current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification or ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality of instruction using varied teaching methods.
• Incorporate online activities to enhance course content.
• Review and revise syllabus for courses within program guidelines.
• Submit program reports to Director in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of new technologies and safety regulations.
• Maintain student records and assist with data collection by deadlines.
• Update and maintain student clinical files (immunizations, requirements).
• Teach courses at various times/locations to meet program needs.
• Deliver both lecture and clinical rotations (evenings/weekends).
• Engage in professional development and CE hours; participate in committees.
