Job summary

Vance-Granville Community College in North Carolina seeks part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach in the ADN program. Instructors may teach in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings as assigned.

Responsibilities include supervising and evaluating students in clinicals, delivering course materials, and collaborating with program leadership. Minimum qualifications require a BSN, an active NC RN license, and at least two years of full-time clinical nursing experience, with teaching education

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of two years of full-time clinical nursing experience.
• Completion of education in teaching and learning principles for adult education within first three years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings to ensure safe, effective nursing practice.
• Provide opportunities that integrate classroom theory with clinical application.
• Prepare and deliver course materials, lectures, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.
• Evaluate and document student performance using rubrics and NCBON-aligned outcomes.
• Collaborate with Course Lead Faculty, Clinical Course Coordinators, and Program Administration.
• Maintain accurate student attendance, grading, and clinical documentation.
• Participate in orientation, faculty meetings, and remediation activities as needed.
