Highland Community College is seeking a Part-Time Nursing Instructor for Spring 2027. The role involves teaching nursing students across classroom, lab, and clinical settings in approximate 10–14 hours per week.

Opportunities for simulation experiences and clinical oversight are available in Freeport, Rockford, Monroe, WI and surrounding areas. Qualifications include an active RN license in Illinois (or Wisconsin if clinical oversight occurs there) and an MSN.

Formación

• RN license in Illinois or Wisconsin if clinical oversight takes place in Wisconsin.
• MSN required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of direct patient care experience in Med/Surg or critical care.
• Strong communication, organization, and a passion for teaching.

Are you an experienced nurse who wants to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals? Highland Community College is looking for Part-Time Nursing Instructors to join our team in the Spring of 2027. This part-time position is scheduled for approximately 10-14 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

What We’re Looking for:

Education and Experience:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or Wisconsin if clinical oversight takes place in Wisconsin.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of recent direct patient care experience in Med/surg or critical care nursing.
• Strong communication, organization, and a passion for teaching.
