Job summary
Midland College is seeking a Part-Time Associate Degree Nursing Faculty member to deliver instruction and supervise nursing students in clinical settings and the simulation lab. The role includes coordinating with the Department Chair to meet course goals and evaluate student progress.
The ideal candidate holds a Texas RN license with at least three years of nursing experience and is capable of teaching in clinical, simulation, and traditional classroom settings to support student success and
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas RN license.
- Minimum of three years of varied professional nursing experience.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and nursing skills.
- Commitment to maintaining knowledge, clinical expertise, and safe nursing practice.
- Experience educating students, healthcare staff, patients, and/or families.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Department Chair and faculty to meet course and program goals.
- Select appropriate patient assignments for students based on objectives.
- Teach, supervise, and evaluate nursing skills and student performance.
- Assist with maintenance of nursing skills and simulation laboratory.
- Attend meetings and pursue professional development.
- Complete and maintain required documentation.
