Job summary

Northern Essex Community College is accepting applications for its Nursing Clinical Instructor pool to supervise clinical experiences for up to 6 students for 8-16 hours per week on an as-needed basis for the Fall 2026 semester and beyond.

Instructors will coordinate with theoretical content and achieve course objectives, playing a critical role in teaching and learning as a member of the nursing team to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• MA RN license in good standing required.
• Two years full-time nursing experience within last five years required.
• Competence in clinical area of maternal-child, medical-surgical, or psychiatric nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experiences.
• Instruct and supervise nursing students in clinical settings.
• Instruct and supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation when clinical agency unavailable.
• Evaluate student learning and provide feedback.
• Complete formative and summative student evaluations.
• Communicate with Course Team Leader weekly regarding student issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
