  • Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

  • One weekend per month off , with the option to work those hours during the week instead.

We are a Residential Treatment Center serving adolescent females with early childhood trauma. Our mission is to provide world‑class trauma treatment to those who wouldn’t otherwise receive care. This is an opportunity to be part of something bigger than yourself, making a real difference in the lives of young men on their healing journey.

This is a Part-Time position, approximately20 hours per week , with full time benefits.

2. Your Opportunity (Why This Role Matters):

As the Part-Time Registered Nurse at Havenwood, you will play a critical role in helping young women heal from trauma by ensuring their comprehensive physical and medical well-being supports their clinical progress. This is a unique opportunity to function as a crucial member of an interdisciplinary team (clinical staff, educators, program staff, and medical team), where your expertise in health management directly contributes to the student's overall success in treatment.

3. What We Expect from You:

We are looking for a medical professional who is not only clinically competent but also deeply aligned with our mission and culture.

  • Empathy & Attunement: Ability to connect with and understand clients who have experienced significant trauma, providing medical care with a gentle, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed approach.

  • Discipline & Self-Efficacy: Commitment to maintaining high standards of medication management, documentation, and operational excellence in a JCAHO-accredited facility.

  • Resilience & Grit: Able to maintain focus and energy in a challenging and dynamic environment, particularly when triaging acute medical needs or managing complex medication schedules.

  • Teamability: Works collaboratively across disciplines (clinical, residential, administration) to support the program’s mission and integrate medical care seamlessly into the student’s treatment plan.

  • Integrity & Professionalism: Upholds ethical standards required by your RN license, prioritizes strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and exemplifies appropriate therapeutic boundaries with clients.

  • Curiosity & Adaptability: Open to learning, improving, and adjusting health management strategies as needed within a residential treatment setting.

4. A Day in the Life (What This Job Actually Looks Like)

This role is comparable to a School Nurse position within a therapeutic, residential setting, focusing on proactive health management and acute needs triage. A typical day as the Part-Time Registered Nurse at Havenwood includes:

  • Ensure accurate availability, organization, and dispensation of client medications at residential homes per safety protocols.

  • Coordinate and manage all necessary external medical appointments (e.g., dental, vision, specialist) and treatments.

  • < li>Collaborate with the medical team, clinicians, and residential staff to integrate medical and therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date client medical records, demographics, and insurance documents.

  • Accurately test and record patient vitals and health metrics as required by licensing and accreditation standards.

5. What Does Success Look Like?

Success in the Part-Time RN role is defined by clinical excellence, compassionate care, and seamless operational support:

  • Flawless compliance with all medication management and documentation protocols (HIPAA, JCAHO, State Licensing).

  • Efficient triage and effective coordination of client medical needs, resulting in minimal disruption to the student’s clinical and academic schedule.

  • Positive collaboration and clear communication with the interdisciplinary team regarding client health status and required interventions.

  • Client engagement and trust, where students feel safe and supported in addressing their physical health concerns.
