Qualifications

• Must be a MA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health or acute care inpatient healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in policy.
• Control, count, and document onsite medication.
• Educate clients on medication-assisted treatment, use, and side effects.
• Verify medication orders with the physician and transcribe orders.
• Assist in the admission process and document substance use diagnoses as required.
