Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse for an outpatient treatment program in Saugus, MA. This part-time position offers 24 hours per week with every other weekend requirement.

The role includes administering medications, counting and documenting onsite medications, educating clients about treatment, and validating orders with physicians. CPR certification and MA licensure are required, with 90 days to obtain CPR if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a MA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health or acute care inpatient healthcare preferred.

Location: Saugus, MA - Outpatient Treatment Program

Schedule: Part time, 24 hours. Every other weekend required

Pay rate: $35.00/hour (LPN) $37.00/hour (RN). $3.00/hour weekend differential

Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse is responsible for:

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribes physician's orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use diagnosis as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a MA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver's License
