Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a part-time position. You will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary imaging team.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, patient interaction, and adherence to regulatory standards in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Evening and weekend availability may be required as department needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program is required.
• Current nuclear medicine certification and state licensure required.
• CPR/BLS certification current required.
• Experience in nuclear medicine preferred.
• Strong safety and imaging quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to established protocols and provider orders.
• Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable regulations and scope of practice.
• Explain procedures to patients, obtain appropriate clinical information, and monitor patients throughout testing.
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and evaluate images for technical quality.
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient and imaging records.
• Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and appropriate documentation related to nuclear medicine operations.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other members of the care team.
