Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a part-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures with a focus on safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient care. The role involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary imaging team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates will have graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, current Illinois licensure, CPR/BLS, and a willingness to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Current nuclear medicine certification and Illinois accreditation/licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Strong radiation safety and imaging quality knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently while collaborating with care team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to protocols and orders.
• Administer and document radiopharmaceuticals per regulations and scope of practice.
• Explain procedures and obtain clinical information, monitor patients during testing.
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and evaluate image quality.
• Document procedures and maintain patient and imaging records.
• Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, QA, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and documentation for nuclear medicine operations.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and care team.
