VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Part Time Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to support the Central Region in Michigan. The role focuses on ambulatory care within a correctional environment, with coverage for Jackson and surrounding sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program.
• Must possess current licenses or certifications in the state of employment.

• Maintains required annual licensure and credentialing for PAs/Nurse Practitioners.

Responsibilities

Nurse Practitioner responsible for covering the East Region sites 2 days/week. Employee will be compensated for travel expenses while working shifts following guidelines discussed in the employee handbood. The areas included in coverage include Jackson, Michigan.

NURSE PRACTITIONER / PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner utilizes the medical model to meet a variety of healthcare needs with ambulatory care as their primary focus in a correctional environment. The Physician's Assistant works with a variety of healthcare professionals/security officers in a correctional environment to provide basic medical services supervised by a licensed Physician.

NURSE PRACTITIONER / PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited college/university NP / PA program
• Must possess current licenses or certifications in the state of employment
• Experience in Correctional desired but not required
• Maintains required annual licensure and credentialing requirements for physician assistants / Nurse Practitioner in the healthcare unit.
